Aurora and a meteorite crater, CanadaHere is an image shot over the Reindeer Lake and Deep Bay Meteorite Crater on 31 December 2018. The image was shot flying 33,000 feet over Saskatchewan Manitoba border.Deep Bay, located at the south end of Reindeer lake and measuring about 13 km wide and 220 m deep, is the site of a large meteorite impact dating about 140 million years ago. According to local legend, it is also the location of a monster which pulls animals through the ice in winter.

Sirius on Norway What a fascinating scene. Moonlight showers down, through the Winter Hexagon. Procyon on the left, the reddish Betelgeuse of Orion, Aldebaran of Taurus (Oculus Tauri, or bulls eye) along with the Seven Sisters. Sirius the bright, on the horizon in the haze, the brightest one! and below through the clouds you can see the northernmost coast of Norway. All seen from the left side window of a Boeing 777, going from Delhi to New York, 6th November 2020.
